Momentary data, statistics and more
The iOS 18 update to the diary also brings more trips. The original version only sorted on the date when they were written, but now a new method called “Moment” has been added.
When writing about an event that happened in your past, you can now set the date by the date when the event happened – the torque date – or leave the date as the day you wrote the record. The torque date allows you to see the chronological timeline of events as it happened rather than documented them.
If you are using the date rather than the day you wrote the entry, the date is displayed in search of items in a given time period.
iOS 18 also brings statistics to the application for diaries that are downloading like Insights. The number of words written on average for entry, a place you saw how often you wrote in a given time period, and your gap in writing or writing gap is seen, among other things.
The Journal also has a calendar, marking and statistics – including lanes. As in Notes, newspapers can now enable users to record the sound log, rather than write it down, using a new recording button.
After recording, the user will be fast if they want to generate sound transcripts. There is also a text adaptation in iOS 18, included color text and highlighting.
There are also new home screens and screen locking. These offered calls for writing and the ability to start a new record right away.

From there, choose one of the already existing Apple widgets or go down through the application list and see their widgets. Click on One to add it, and then click the End to End to Edit the Lock Screen Mode.
What’s more, users can expect to come more to the application more during the 2024 and 2025, with the advent of other Apple Intelligence features in iOS 18.2 and later updates. If you have an iPhone qualifying, such as iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16, Apple Intelligence will offer features such as long items summary, or help you rewrite the item with respect to a particular tone.
